FDA Clears DeGen Medical’s CONNECT-L Transverse Connector

Device offers six degrees of freedom, allowing additional maneuverability for complex spinal procedures.

DeGen Medical Inc. has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its CONNECT-L Transverse Connector to be used with F1 MPS Modular Pedicle Screw System. The F1 MPS system is intended to provide immobilization and stabilization of posterior non-cervical spine.

The CONNECT-L Transverse Connector is small, low profile, and easy to use. The CONNECT-L rod-to-rod connection provides improved construct stability and rigid fixation to the posterior spinal system. The CONNECT-L includes fixed and variable sizes for posterior thoraco-lumbar-sacral spine surgeries. The variable option offers six degrees of freedom, allowing additional maneuverability for complex spinal stabilization procedures.

The F1 MPS Pedicle Screw System provides a versatile, modular lumbar pedicle screw system, according to the company. The device treats complex spinal diseases with intra-operative versatility of implant options for efficient graft placements, and is coupled with intuitively-designed instrumentation for ease of use.
